Shortsy.net (Shortsy) provides opportunities for creators to monetize their content and for businesses to advertise on the platform. This Monetization Policy explains the rules, processes, and requirements for monetization on Shortsy. By participating in monetization programs, you agree to comply with this policy and other applicable terms.
1. Eligibility for Monetization
1.1. Creator Eligibility:
- Creators must be at least 18 years old to participate in monetization programs.
- Creators must comply with Shortsys Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and this Monetization Policy.
- Creators must provide accurate and up-to-date payment and tax information.
- Creators must be verified members of Shortsy. To become verified, creators must maintain an active subscription with Shortsy. Verification is required to access monetization features.
1.2. Content Eligibility:
- Only content that complies with Shortsys Community Guidelines is eligible for monetization.
- Content flagged for hate speech, incitement of violence, harassment, or other prohibited activities may be disqualified from monetization.
- Creators must own or have the legal rights to monetize their content (e.g., videos, images, music).
1.3. Subscription Requirement:
- A valid subscription is required to enable monetization features. However, creators can still receive payouts for any existing balances even if their subscription lapses.
2. Revenue Streams
2.1. Tipping and Donations:
- Users may tip creators directly to support their content. Shortsy will deduct a service fee of 2% from each transaction.
2.2. Advertising Revenue:
- Eligible creators can earn a share of revenue from ads displayed alongside their content.
- Revenue sharing percentages and thresholds will be communicated during the onboarding process.
2.3. Affiliate Sales:
- Creators may promote affiliate products in compliance with applicable laws and platform rules.
- Shortsy may provide tools for tracking affiliate sales, with fees deducted from payouts.
2.4. Profile and Post Monetization:
- Verified users can monetize their posts and profiles. Points earned from user interactions (e.g., views, comments, reactions) can be converted into monetary value.
2.5. Point System Overview:
- Users earn points for various interactions, such as posting, receiving comments, or reactions.
- Points are converted into dollars at a set rate (e.g., 1,000 points = $1).
- Free and Pro users have different daily earning limits, with Pro users benefiting from higher caps.
2.6. Other Programs:
- Shortsy may introduce additional monetization programs, such as subscriptions or premium content, which will be governed by this policy.
3. Fees and Payments
3.1. Platform Fees:
- Shortsy deducts service fees for monetization activities, including tipping and ad revenue sharing. Fee structures are subject to change, with notice provided to participants.
3.2. Payout Method PayPal Payouts:
- All payouts to creators will be processed through PayPal Payouts.
- Creators must have an active and good-standing PayPal account to receive payments.
- PayPal requires creators to complete onboarding documents, such as tax information, before payouts can be processed.
- No alternative payout methods are available; PayPal Payouts is the sole method for receiving payments from Shortsy.
3.3. Payout Thresholds:
- Payouts are issued once creators reach the minimum balance of $50.00.
- Payouts will be made via the PayPal account specified in the creators account settings.
3.4. Taxes:
- Creators are responsible for reporting and paying taxes on their earnings. Shortsy may collect and remit taxes as required by law.
3.5. Payment Disputes:
- Any disputes regarding payouts must be reported within 30 days of the payment date.
3.6. Withholding Payments:
- Shortsy reserves the right to withhold payments or close accounts without honoring payouts if the account is found to have violated Shortsys Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or this Monetization Policy.
3.7. Reserve Funds:
- A portion of user earnings may be held in reserve for up to 30 days to account for chargebacks, disputes, or potential fraudulent activity.
4. Advertiser Requirements
4.1. Ad Content Guidelines:
- Advertisements must comply with Shortsys Community Guidelines and applicable laws.
- Prohibited ad content includes false claims, illegal products, and explicit materials.
4.2. Advertiser Fees:
- Advertisers will be charged based on agreed-upon rates for campaigns. Rates and terms will be detailed in a separate agreement.
4.3. Ad Placement:
- Shortsy reserves the right to determine the placement and visibility of ads on the platform.
5. Prohibited Activities
- Fraudulent activity, such as click fraud or artificially inflating views or engagement, is strictly prohibited.
- Selling or trading accounts for monetization purposes is not allowed.
- Violations of this policy may result in suspension or termination of monetization privileges.
6. Additional Protections
6.1. User Verification:
- Shortsy may require users to verify their identity with government-issued ID to participate in monetization programs.
6.2. Indemnification:
- Users agree to indemnify and hold Shortsy harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities resulting from their content or activities on the platform.
6.3. Limitation of Liability:
- Shortsy is not liable for lost earnings due to account bans, suspensions, or other enforcement actions.
6.4. Dispute Arbitration:

Shortsy reserves the right to update or modify this Monetization Policy at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting. Continued participation in monetization programs constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
